Big Bass Lake
Big Bass Lake has excellent water clarity with a secchi depth of 15-18 feet and a large portion of undeveloped shoreline.
Beautiful Big Bass Lake
7 miles long and 2 miles wide. It has a maximum depth of 76 feet and comprises nearly 2,457 acres. The lake is comprised of two basins connected with a wide shallow channel. The upper basin is deeper and has gravel and sand shorelines, whereas the lower basin is shallower, has softer bottom sediments, and has more aquatic vegetation.
In northern Minnesota Bass Lake is known for its walleye, northern, largemouth bass, bluegill, sunfish, crappie, and jumbo yellow perch fishing. Its many coves and islands make the lake fishable on practically any day.
